Asset Panda is an easy to use online asset management product best suited for small to mid-sized businesses that utilize a high number of assets. This includes service and repair businesses, as well as those that rent or lease equipment or other assets. Asset Panda also offers a handy mobile app that extends product functionality significantly, with an app available for both iOS and Android smart phones and tablets.

New in Asset Panda is the Device Data Agent for Windows, which makes it easy for users to sync hardware and software information found on each computer. Information tracked includes RAM size, processor type and speed, computer model, IP address, operating system, and software installed.

New users can choose to import assets directly into Asset Panda using a CSV file, or can enter assets individually as needed. While entering an asset, users can assign the asset a current status, assign the asset to a particular location or department, assign a category for the asset, and enter additional details such as warranty and maintenance data. For those that wish to track additional data, purchase date, asset brand, model, and serial number can also be entered.

Along with managing the asset itself, Asset Panda allows users to easily manage related activity including maintenance scheduling, service contract information, and repair information, including any related repair details along with the date the asset was repaired. In addition, Asset Panda also tracks insurance policy data, with effective and expiration dates, as well as any purchase or lease dates. The Asset Panda mobile app also provides additional product functionality such as the ability to use the optional bar code scanner to quickly add assets directly into Asset Panda. Also available is the asset check-in and check-out function that allows users to check any asset in or out no matter where they (or the asset) is. GPS tracking capability is also offered in Asset Panda.

Asset Panda offers excellent customization capability, with users able to add additional tracking fields for assets, insurance records, work orders, and custom calculation fields. Documents, photos and videos can also be added to each asset record. Asset Panda also includes bulk reallocation of assets for those that need to move numerous assets from one location into another.

The depreciation function in Asset Panda is automatically disabled, so users will need to enable it in order to calculate depreciation for any assets. Once enabled, the depreciation feature can calculate monthly, quarterly, or annual depreciation totals, with users able to create a schedule that suits their needs.

Asset Panda reports are categorized by group, with a wide variety of standard reports available including Asset Listing, Assets by Employee, Movement of Assets, and a Funding Report. Users can also create custom reports in Asset Panda, and all reports can be exported as a CSV file for further customization if desired. Reports can also be saved as a PDF if desired. Along with reports, Asset Panda can also create custom forms and work orders as well.

Asset Panda integrates with a variety of third-party applications including Google Device Manager, Microsoft Active Directory, ZenDesk, Avery Labels, and Zebra. The company also expects to integrate with additional products such as QuickBooks, Zapier, Salesforce, and MailChimp in the near future.

User guides are available online, as are a variety of video tutorials and a brief FAQ section. A searchable knowledgebase is also available for quick reference.
